IAMFC in England: Northampton Family Counseling Institute
May 28 - June 2, 2014
The International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors - a division of the American Counseling Association - is pleased to sponsor the 11th annual Northampton Family Counseling Institute, which will convene May 28 to June 2, 2014 at the Sunley Center of Management - Park Campus, University of Northampton (United Kingdom)
The theme for the 2014 Institute is "Family Counseling Education and Practice." The Institute will bring together a small group of graduate students, professionals, educators, and association leaders for the five day event. In addition to formal presentations and workshops, the Institute includes sponsored day trips to central London, Oxford, and English country villages.
Individuals who wish to present a paper or presentation as part of the 2014 Institute may submit a proposal to the Institute Planning Committee for consideration, c/o Dr. Brian Canfield at DrBSC@aol.com
Institute participants will receive 18 hours of NBCC-approved continuing education credit through IAMFC. The Northampton Institute provides an opportunity for colleagues - as well as "colleagues-in-training" - to discuss family counseling practice, education, and research issues and other professional topics in an informal collegial setting.
The $925 fee* for the 2014 Institute includes five nights housing (shared double occupancy - Wednesday through Sunday) at the Sunley Centre - a modern hotel facility with in-room bath - located at the Park Campus of the University of Northampton. A limited number of single occupancy rooms are available on a "space available" basis for an additional charge. Airfare, meals other than breakfast, and incidental expenses are not included in the Institute fee. *Fee discounts are available for early registration, group registrations, and returning participants.
